Delete your account
Last updated: 14 October 2026. How to delete your Belegerl account and data – in the app or without the app by e-mail. This applies to the web app and to the apps from Google Play and the App Store.
In the app (immediately)
- Open Belegerl and sign in.
- Open Settings and scroll all the way down.
- Tap Delete account, type the confirmation word and confirm.
Tip: download all receipts under Export first – after deletion we cannot restore them.
Without the app (by e-mail)
Write from your account's e-mail address to [email protected] with the subject “Delete account”. We confirm the request and delete your account within 30 days, usually much sooner. If you write from a different address, we will briefly verify it's you.
What is deleted
- your user account (name, e-mail, phone number, date of birth, sign-in data),
- your company with all receipts, receipt files, extracted data, items and reports – unless someone else is also an owner; then only you are removed from the team,
- connected invoice mailboxes and saved settings.
What is kept for a while
- Backups: deleted data remains in our encrypted backups for up to eight weeks, then it is removed there too.
- Contracts and invoices for paid subscriptions are kept for the statutory period (usually 7 years in Austria).
- Abuse protection: a non-reversible checksum of your e-mail address and whether a free period was used, for 24 months.
- Cost log: how many AI readings were used, without content (for the monthly quota).
Don't forget your subscription
Cancel a subscription from Google Play or the App Store in your Google or Apple account (manage subscriptions) – deleting your Belegerl account does not stop those payments. A subscription bought on our website ends when the account is deleted.
